Drainage Worries Arise in Elma
Drainage concerns led a number of residents to address the Elma Town Board on June 16. About 10 different people spoke to the board about the water runoff between Girdle and Ostrander roads south of Jamison Road. They fear that any additional development of land there could create a more difficult situation unless there is proper planning.

Motorcyclist Dies Following Elma Crash [Updated June 14]
A motorcyclist from Lancaster died Sunday night following a Saturday afternoon accident in the Town of Elma. State Police report that 29-year-old Michael A. Stoldt of Lancaster was heading south on Bowen Road when a northbound vehicle driven by 79-year-old Norman Verbanic of Elma attempted to make a left turn into the driveway of the Elma Library without yielding the right of way.
