Petron’s request for higher SBL benefitted rest of oil companies
MANILA, Philippines – The Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas (BSP) had originally considered Petron Corp.’s proposal to grant banks a separate single borrowers’ limit (SBL) of 25 percent but granted the hiked SBL to all oil companies “in the interest of fair play” and for oil companies to make sure there would be funding available for oil firms importing crude and petroleum products.
